D13 Leading our community

I am aware that consulting and advising our community are key parts of my role of E-Learning Lead teacher. I regularly have discussions and seek feedback to understand what it is the community want in this area.

I have facilitated a number of community meetings where parents and students are invited to contribute to our school's vision and use of E-Learning tools to help improve learning outcomes for all students. ERO's publication Educationally Powerful Connections With Parents and Whanau (2015) clearly outlines that, "Family involvement in schooling is important for students of all ages when strengthened, leads to positive educational outcomes."

Below is an outline of a community engagement that I facilitated.
