C9 Blended learning through use of an online learning platform

In response to feedback from parents in my class last year I have developed an online learning site for students and their whanau to access anytime, anywhere. The parents of my students last year said they loved seeing their students learning and notices on the class blog but it could get overwhelming to get notifications every time there was a blog post for learning purposes.

So with the goal of making learning available anytime and anywhere I used Google sites to make a base for learning. I often add content related to the learning before the learning occurs in class. This allows the students to access content related to their learning beforehand which they really like because it allows them to have a hook to hang their learning on.

Blended learning  (Enabling E-Learning) is a mix of traditional teaching and online 21st century tools that makes learning possible anytime, anywhere.  The learning is supported and enhanced by appropriate E-learnign tools (Karen Melhuish Spencer).
