C8 Student Blogs

Every student in my class has their own blog where they can showcase their learning, show development and get feedback from others.

Nick Rate (2011) states that there are three main reasons for online portfolios in schools, the process, the showcase and accountability. I use all three of these to help students use their blogs to help improve the quality of learning. Osborne

There is a mixture of student and teacher selected content on student blogs.  To engage and allow for creativity students are often encouraged to present via a diverse range of online tools. This allows for student interests to be followed and also allows student ownership.

Below are some screenshots of student blogs with evidence of learning.
