I know that learners who feel positive about themselves and enjoy learning are more likely to achieve better learning outcomes. The Incredible years programme that I recently completed outline relationship building as one of the foundations for successful student learning, as shown on the bottom two layers of the pyramid below. .

Below are examples of my students enjoying learning and having fun at school. This is important for relationship building and creates trust which is important as it means the students feel safe and supported enough to take risks during learning.
