Teacher, ICT Lead Teacher
Since joining St Mary's Catholic School I have taught in the Middle school, Years 3/4 and Senior school, Years 5/6. At St Mary's I have planned collaboratively with other teachers and taught the New Zealand curriculum with a focus on delivering a concept based curriculum. I have additional responsibilities in the area of ICT. Key responsibilities include maintaining the school website, acquisition and maintenance of the Government supplied teacher laptops, ensuring that ICT's are being used throughout the school to help improve learning outcomes. As part of being a Lead ICT teacher I regularly attend cluster meetings where Lead Teachers from local schools meet to plan and implement ICT strategies in schools. This includes organising and taking training workshops and presenting at cross-school conferences.

Technology Coach
My primary role was to lead the integration of technology into the Primary Years Programme. I coached teachers and helped them plan learning programmes which incorporated technology in new and exciting ways. I planned for technology growth in the school alongside the school's management and I also oversaw the procurement of new technology. There were over 70 teachers in the primary school where I worked and I ran workshops, attended planning meetings, modelled lessons and organised conferences for all of them over a two year period.
