B20 Contextualised learning pathways

Students are able to follow their interests while learning in a manner where they build on their skills and knowledge. By enabling students to learn through contexts that interest them I am able to motivate the students to want to learn.

Below are examples of how students have been aware of their learning pathways to becoming better writers. They have chosen the topic for writing a persuasive argument and have then peer assessed against agreed success criteria (Absolom, 2006).

Simplified writing progressions for the students to access in the classroom.

Students chose their own topic for writing - fidget spinners in the classroom

Students peer assesses to develop their next learning goals for writing.
