I found an online banking system for my class to use called Banqer. This tool allows students to access and manage fictitious bank accounts, developing a cv, paying tax, being paid a wage and investing in retirement schemes.
I know that the use of this has engaged my students because they are excited when they talk about it and the summative assessments that my students undertake shows an improvement in both financial literacy and financial capabilities.

The screenshot below show that the students circled who were in my class last year as well scored higher on the financial capabilities assessment at the beginning of this year. Students who are not circled had not taken part in the Banqer programme before this year.

The two screenshots below clearly demonstrate that the students scored much higher on the summative assessment for financial literacy after they had taken part in learning through the Banqer tool.
