Having a sense of belonging and contributing to the local community is an important part of student learning. My school's Catholic faith and values which are embedded alongside the Key competencies and principles of the New Zealand Curriculum help strengthen bonds between students and their community.
In this evidence I have contributed to a local community project to clear the leaves from our local area during autumn. It is a chance for students to serve their community through relating to others and contributing to a team effort.
