It is important for students and whanau to be
involved in learning together. Students will see greater value in the learning when they know that the whanau also value it. I often invite whanau into class to
be involved in the learning.

In this evidence a Mother has joined her son to take part in a lunchtime ICT club workshop, hosted by myself. The workshop was for students, teachers and whanau to learn how to use basic spreadsheet tools. The Mother commented that she would then be able to use these at home and in her work. To encourage students to be
life-long learners it is important they see the significant people in their lives - whanau, teachers, learning as well.
