As outlined by the Education Review Office (ERO) the appraisal of teachers in New Zealand schools should be for the overall goal of improving student learning outcomes. Along with my Practicing Teacher blog which is a portfolio of what I am doing to meet the criteria as set out by the Education council I also take part in an in school appraisal system.
I see this as an opportunity to inquire into my practice and really focus on identified needs within this. Below is my 2016 appraisal outline which was revisited many times throughout 2016 by my Team Leader, Principal and myself.
